I'm excited to share with you my first ever release, the EP Is There Anyone There?

A lifelong Beatles fan, it was an honour for me to record the EP at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, with spacial thanks to Miguel and Martin from the Abbey Road Institute for working on this project with me.

In the five tracks, I have tried to showcase a variety of styles I dig within the pop/rock genre. I've always thought an opening track should be loud and proud, and 'Think of All the Pain' certainly makes its presence known with its distorted guitar, drum and bass powering the melody through.

'Life Goes On' is a firm favourite whenever I play it live, and I think you can really hear the Beatles influence in its melody and arrangement. A great car song, and certainly relevant in today's uncertainty!

'I Remember You' was recorded live in one take, and we really wanted to convey the sense of immediacy reflected in the 6/8 time signature.

'Mother' is the tear-jerker of the EP, but I particularly like the instrumental section and coda which I think prepare the listener for the intensity of the next song.

The title track comes last as the EP's dramatic crescendo. 'Is There Anyone There' took longest to mix because we wanted . With its three distinct parts, similar to the Beatles' 'A Day in the Life', the song makes use of layering to build up to a dramatic conclusion.

I really hope you enjoy listening to the EP as much as I did making it. Don't forget to subscribe on Spotify, as I'll be releasing a lot more very soon.

Enjoy!
